Our Lovely Asparagus is here... despite the cold Spring weather!

We now have our lovely Asparagus in the Farm Shop and with have our wonderful asparagus bundles available from now until the end of June £2.90 for a 454g bundle. There is an internittent supply of our kitchen- grade off cut basketsuntil the weather warms up!
 The Pick-Your-Own will start with Gooseberries in mid-June and our Strawberries will be ready after that... it is the coldest Spring since we first planted Strawberries here in 1979!!
But when the Strawberries start it will be a MASSIVE crop!
We are open 9-5:30 every day including Bank Holiday Monday and from the 1st June we are open 9-7pm every day!
 Wednesdays and Saturdays we have Andy Johnson's Fish Stall in our Farm Shop car park from 11-2pm for lovely Fresh Fish.
 And the Tea Barn is open 10-5pm Tuesday-Sunday and on Bank Holiday Monday... so lots of reasons to come and see us soon!

Easter Opening Hours

Our Farm Shop is open over Easter as follows:
 Good Friday 9-5pm
Easter Saturday 9-5pm
Easter Sunday 10-2pm
 Easter Monday CLOSED
 And from Tuesday 2nd April we will be open from 9-5:30 every day including Sundays.... as it is officially summertime......ha ha!
We have just started picking our Rhubarb and Leeks and PYO will start when it warms up and we have enough for you to pick... the cold weather is slowing everything down at the moment as you can imagine! But we sell Logs and Kindling to keep you warm as well as lovely pies from the Real Pie Company, delicious cakes from Farmhouse Cookery and Country Cakes as well as gorgeous bread and hot cross buns from The Granary!
 So come up and see us soon and call in at the new Tea Barn for delicious cakes and lunches.

Christmas Trees, Mistletoe and lots more!

We have now got our beautiful locally grown Christmas Trees in stock in a range of sizes and we also have traditional Spruce as well as Nordman Non-Drop Firs- so it all looks very Christmassy in our Car Park in this lovely frosty weather!
 We are still taking orders for Christmas traditionally reared Turkeys, Geese and Capons but don't leave it to long to place your order! We also have a wonderful range of Christmas food and drink including cakes, mince pies, cheeses, preserves, chocolates and lots more!
 We are open Monday-Saturdsay 9-5pm and Sunday 9-1pm although Sundays 9th, 16th and 23rd we are open from 9-4pm.
  And if you buy a Christmas Tree at the Farm Shop you will get a voucher for a pot of tea or coffee at the new Tea Barn at the bottom of the Farm  Shop car park.So come up and see us soon!

Christmas is Coming!

We are now taking orders for traditionally reared Christmas Turkeys. Geese and Capons from Hyden Farm, Hambledon. In the Farm Shop we now have a wonderful choice of festive food including chocolates, cakes, desserts preserves and lots more! By early December we will have Christmas Trees, Holly Wreaths, Mistletoe available and this year you will be able to warm up in the the new Tea Barn  with mulled apple juice, hot chocolate and lovely home-made cakes after you have chosen your Christmas Tree!
         During December,if you buy a Christmas Tree at the Farm Shop you will receive a voucher for a free pot of proper tea or coffee in the Tea Barn which is at the bottom of the Farm Shop car park.
    Or spend £20 in the Tea Barn and get a voucher for £1.50 off a Christmas Tree from the Farm Shop.
Our Farm Shop opening hours are now Monday- Saturday 9-5pm and Sundays 9-1pm and on Sundays 9th, 16th and 23rd December we will be open from 9-4pm!

Pick-Your-Own Sweetcorn, Runner beans, Raspberries and more...!

We have now started PYO Sweetcorn at 50p a cob... and it is delicious and well worth the wait!
 We also have PYO Autumn Bliss Raspberries, Blackberries, Runner Beans, Calabrese, Carrots, Courgettes and Marrows.
  And for those that like it hot.....  in our Farm Shop we have our own homegrown Chilli Plants at £3.99 or 2 for £7. Varieties include Super Chilli, Gusto Purple, Cayenne and Bulgarian Carrot.
We also stock a wide range of lovely  chilli products from the South Devon Chilli Farm including sauces, chutney and jelly.
 Our opening hours are 9am-5:30 every day including Sundays.

 P.S. Don't forget that Andy Johnson's Fish Van is in our Car Park Wednesdays and Saturdays from 11am-2pm for lovely fresh fish!

Runner Beans and lots of other lovely veg!

We have now started PYO Runner Beans at £2.95/kg and we also have our Autumn Bliss Raspberries at £5.95/kg. Other crops available for PYO include the last few Blueberries, Blackberries, Carrots, Courgettes, Calabrese and Marrows.
   Now it is September, our opening hours are now 9am-5:30pm every day including Sundays.

 Andy Johnson and his Fish Stall are in our Farm Shop Car Park every Wednesday and Sunday from11am-2pm with delicious fresh fish

P.S. The Tea Barn is due to open late September... watch this space!!

Blueberries... and masses of really big berries!

We now have PYO Blueberries at £5.95/kg and there are lots of really tasty big berries.. they obviously thrive in the rain!
 We also have Raspberries, Strawberries, Currants, Loganberries ,Tayberries as well as Carrots, Calabrese, Courgettes , Broad Beans  and Marrows!
  During the Hampshire Food Festival 1st-31st July, if you pick £10 worth of fruit or vegetables you can get a free Meadow Cottage ice-cream- so pick -your- own and treat yourself! We now also stock lovely Mooka Gelato in small and large tubs- just right for a summer party!
 We  are open every day 9am-7pm  so come up and see us soon!

Masses of Raspberries Loganberries and Black Currants!

We now have masses of Raspberries, Loganberries and Black Currants as well as some Red Currants. Blueberries will be starting later this week.... just need a bit of sunshine! We also have Rhubarb, Broad Beans, Carrots, Spinach, Courgettes and Calabrese... and Lettuce and Cabbages! So there is LOTS to pick down on the Farm and we also have ready-picked fruit and vegetables available in the Farm Shop.
 After a very successful tasting day on Sunday we now stock a lovely range of the South Devon Chilli Farm's produce- including Chilli Chutney, Apple and Chilli Jelly, Hot Habenero Sauce, Chilli Growing kits and lots more!
  We are open from 9am-7pm every day.... and if it's a wet day we have wellies and coats to lend you if you come unprepared for the Great British Summer!

Dessert Gooseberries

We have now started picking our Dessert Gooseberies (£4.95/kg) but come up soon as they are very popular and won't last long. Our cooking Gooseberries have just about finished now.
Despite the rain we have lots of lovely crops for picking- we still have Strawberries £3.98/kg), lots of lovely Raspberries (£5.95/kg), Rhubarb (£2.20/kg) as well as Black and  Red Currants  (£3.65/kg). Loganberries Tayberries and Sunberries (all at £5.50/kg).
   In the vegetable line we have lovely tender Broad Beans (£1.98/kg?, Carrots (£1.10/kg) and Courgettes at £1.50/kg.
   We are open every day from 9am-7pm and we can even lend you wellies and coats if you come un-prepared for the rain. We kitted out an intrepid family yesterday with cotas , boots and even bags to fit over shoes... so no excuses about the weather!!!! See photo!
 It won't be long until the Blueberries are ripe.. and Blackberries are nearly there as well!
